Steel construction.
Realism.
Unacceptably ugly gas release.
Badly inaccurate with copper pellets
When deciding to satisfy my curiosity for a good pistol last year, i kept coming back to this cheap and cheerful Russian gun on many websites.
I ended up ordering one for only Sixty pounds plus delivery; (AirShooter.co.uk), comes respectively in a carryable case plus seals and tools for maintenance, also a pack of 200 copperheads are generously provided, but no Co2.
I was taken aback at first by the loud explosion of gas when first letting off my shots, it was indoors however, straight in and out of an old metal biscuit tin. The copper pellets are the most lethal with this gun by the way, but slightly less accurate than the lead shots, which tend to behave quite nicely at a distance of up to 10m where they then begin to stray.
One big downfall to mention however is that with Gamo lead shot, when blasting out a magazine more than half full, (Max capacity 12 rounds), pellets will get mangled while being fed up through the steel mag and will jam in the barrel without fail, so the trick is to load only 5 or 6.
For those of us who seek a pistol with good capability power-wise, you will eventually grow very bored with its limits, even though it knocks off a good shot at up to 400fps it gets tedious to shoot within Blighty's bland bureaucratic restrictions for a hand held "weapon", I'm going back to the fine thrill of hunting with an open sights rifle.
