Good Points

It's still accurate if your a good shot and your sights are adjusted, i can kill crows, magpies and squirrels.

Bad Points

The back sight scrapes against the rifle when you cock it... its all made of plastic and consistent accuracy can be a problem, if you put a scope on it the vibration just moves it and you have to resight it almost everyone few shots.

General Comments

I had to get the 500 fps one because of canadian laws, anyways i've shot at lots of squirrels and the pellet goes into them but the squirrel gets away falling and limping but if i get a head shot it kills it in one shot... anyone have a good reccomendation on a gun that shoots 500fps or less and is good for small game?

Get a rifle in.22 caliber or larger. With a limit on velocity, you will want to maximize impact. If you really want maximum impact while staying under 500fps, go to pyramidair.com and check out the DRULOV SOKOL .375 CARBINE. It's a super c02 powered carbine styled rifle that resembles the crosman 2250. It shoots a 80 grain 9mm pellet at 470fps for around 30ft. lbs. of energy, with an effective range of around 30 yards. Also because it's co2, it doesn't have the vibration of the spring guns which require special scopes, sope mounts and scope stops especially on the magnum guns. It does recoil but more like a traditional firearm. It pushes your shoulder back about the same as a regular .22 rimfire. Maybee a .22mag at most. The bad news is that it's $500 U.S. dollars and uses 1 gram of co2 per shot. That gets a little pricy when using powerlets, but it can be set up for bulk fill as well. I have a friend who has one and he has it set up to run on a 2.5oz. tank. We have bagged a turkey at 20 yards, lots of squirrels, as well as a few birds which it basically obliterates.
Hope this helps with your power issue.

Correction about the energy output before. I re-did the math with an online calculator and it is acually a little over 39 ft. lbs. of energy. Anyway it's definitely enough to take care of your squirrel problem.

Try the Daisy 22 SG. It's 22 calibre with 600 fps. It should take care of your squirrel problem with a nice head shot. Of course, if you don't mind to pump it up to 10 times. It's pretty accurate, less noise, and easy to pump. Go to the Daisy 22 SG forum to find out more about this gun.

I live in Canada and I didn't need to get my 795 modified.

    Sakes!
Reading about the antigunners in Canada mandating 500fps max for an AIRGUN is infuriating to put it mildly.
    Nanny state mentality gone bonkers.
