Having now owned the vehicle for two months I feel I can now write an honest review of the car, from a unbiased point of view.
The Fiesta ST has an RRP of £13995, although I only paid £11595 for mine and it is brand new. I waited until after the rush, when the new registration plate (56) came out in August, and made my purchase in November, saving almost £2500 off RRP, which has to be a bonus.
The Fiesta ST has sporty details which distinguish it from lesser Fiesta's. They have 17inch eleven spoke alloy wheels, ST body styling kit, Half leather sports seats, 6 disc CD auto changer, Full electric pack, Remote central locking, Alarm & Immobiliser, Climate control and more importantly the powerful 2.0 litre 150bhp engine.
The ST performance figures are 0-60mph in around 7.9 seconds, with a top speed of 130mph. Combined fuel consumption is claimed to be 38.2mpg but I have found this figure to be around 27mpg. Service intervals are every 12500 miles costing around £125 each.
I have found the car to be fun to drive, with sharp steering and excellent brakes. I enjoy using my car, although I don't enjoy filling it up with petrol every few days! The interior of the car is good in places, the seats, steering wheel, pedals, scuff plates and on board computer are a nice touch, but the dash board, hand brake and gear knob are nothing special and would be found in most other Fiesta's. There is also enough space in the back to easily accommodate two adults, although they are 3 rear seat belts, but only driver and front seat passenger air bags.
If I'm honest, I bought the new car because my friend had bought a 55 plate Seat Leon - I allowed him to get the pleasure of owning an almost new car for about 4 months before I stole his mantle of owning the newest car. He appreciated the fact that I could have made my purchase earlier, but like I said, I saved almost £2500 and he got the attention for a while - so we both benefited in that respect.
Overall, I think I got a decent car at an attractive price and more importantly I'm pleased with my purchase. On the down side, it must be said that the Ford Fiesta ST's depreciation is not very good, figures say after 3 years of ownership the car will be worth just over 48% of its original RRP which is around £6500, but saying that most other cars depreciate at a similar rate. Finally the Ford Fiesta ST is insurance group 13E. I hope you find this review useful, one way or another, when deciding what car to purchase.

Just letting you know that my girlfriend smashed a Ford Fiesta ST2.0 car up (someone went in to the back of her, she went into the back of someone else). It took a 2 months to get the car back from Nationwide national crash repair centre.
