Funny, yet moving, story
General Comments
I often have to watch TV with my son and Tracy Beaker is one I don't mind watching at all!
The story is about a young girl, Tracy Beaker, who lives in a kids' home she refers to as 'The Dumping Ground' along with some other kids. Tracy was abandoned by her mother but in her head she makes out that her mother is a famous film star and tells all the other children this story. Tracy runs the show at the Dumping Ground where all the other kids look up to her. She gets up to all sorts of mischief and is quite a little minx. Underneath it all, however, is a very sad little girl who desperately wants to be loved and for someone to adopt her. The story is funny, yet very moving at the same time as Tracy tries so hard to make the best of the bad deal life has dished her.
A great story for kids that really grabs the attention of parents watching too.

on 4th Nov 2008I think it is a good comment about tracy beaker i think every one is going to be very interested to know who Tracy Beacker is. Even the people that have not heard about Tracy Beaker will read this comment and they might tell there friends or parents or family about it. They might even say this is interesting i might buy this book! From dina the dinosaur.
