You are unlikely to find another laptop with these specs for less money anywhere else at the moment although this doesn't take long for everyone else to play catchup.
The chassis is weak and somewhat too flexible for my liking, the lid does not fold all the way back so there is a huge risk of premature failure around the hinge areas and of the display itself. The display does not complement the performance of the new crystal bright displays on other manufacturers leave this one in the shade.
As an IT pro I was reluctant to purchase this brand but I needed a cheap laptop for my eldest son urgently and after deliberating long and hard decided that I couldn't do better for the price.
My suspicions were proved correct quite early on when it started to BSOD regularly. So we rebuilt it "Twice". It subsequently began to die regularly and failed to boot. After some further testing we found a very unstable memory chip.
Regrettably the laptop was now 30 days old just 2 days over the PCWORLD exchange or refund policy and the inevitable merry go round of back to base warranty begins.
The store was very rigid in it's policy stance over 28 days it's back to the Techguys and that's it.
In the laptop arena you only get what you pay for, what you save in price you will pay in back up.
I had a faulty HP device, when I needed it fixed it was sent to Aachen and back in 36hrs.
Unfortunately it takes 15 days to get from London to Mansfield and back with PC World.
