Bad Points

Not always top 10 titles received

General Comments

I've been with the amazon dvd rental service since may 06. The service is good, if you're like me and only watch a couple of movies a month. I subscribe to the £5.99, 3 titles a month service (sooo much better value than a £3.75 a time Blockbuster store). At the beginning of the service I received pretty much any title in my top 10 list. However from about October onwards I was finding less and less top 10 titles and more and more further down the list being sent. Of course I complained (I'm very very good at that!) , they apologised, sent me a free dvd rental title and am back to being sent top 10 titles again. The complaints are handled promptly. I had a very scratched title which jumped a lot of the way through, although I did watch it, I noted this on the website and they credited me back a title for that month. The titles are always dispatched as soon as they receive the one from you back. I send them back usually on a sunday evening or monday morning, by Tuesday morning the next one is on its way to me. I'm pretty pleased with the service and would recommend them for the occasional movie watcher like me, but keep an eye on them and it they start getting sloppy, complain immediately and get it rectified

Nice review Blondetotty, I find their service excellent, prompt dispatch of DVDs, all the ones we have had have been in new or almost new condition. We find if you list lots of brand new titles in your rental list you do have to wait, and they do sometimes give you ones from the bottom of your list , but overall top stuff!
