For a 125 it has impressive power, acceleration, balance and of course looks!
When cold OR not driven for a while it can take a while to kick over
As an experienced off road biker, I decided to go about getting my full UK bike license. The Yamaha DT 125 X was a great choice in bike between CBT and full license. I am quite a big person, about 16.5 stone, so needed a 125, whilst on my CBT, to get familiar to road riding in the UK. I couldn't have chosen a better bike. The DT 125 X has the height, power and stability for myself and to be honest, is one of the most impressive 125CC motorbikes I have ever ridden. I'm not mechanically efficient or aware with motorbikes but I know what works for me and this bike has exceeded all expectations. And with it de-restricted, even with my weight, it got me up to almost 80mph! I honestly wouldn't recommend this as a "CBT" bike for people who have no experience of riding though. Well done Yamaha!
