Good Points

Rugged looks, amazing front brake, comfort, maneuverability, speed (when de-restricted) and best of all - it's very cheap to run.

Bad Points

Reliability (mainly on cold wintry mornings), hard to reach places for cleaning and maintenance and a common immobilizer fault - when it happens, it costs a lot of money to replace!

General Comments

I bought my Peugeot Trekker 50 from a brokers garage in October last year (2006) for £500 - it was already de-restricted (it does 45mph tops on a flat and I've got it up to about 52mph downhill) and was in very good condition for its age (just over 6 years old). It is still a very good runner now but has problems starting up on cold mornings. It's also a surprisingly comfortable bike.

Overall - its a very good moped!

Ive only really had 2 major problems with this bike since I got it - 1, The brake pads became worn and loose, causing the front brake to be constantly on - I took it to the garage and for £25 they fitted new pads and a caliper. 2, A very expensive immobilizer problem which is a common fault apparently - it basically does what it's supposed to and immobilizes the engine but you cant get it off - £125 to replace and configure and since then it's still running strong! An amazing scooter which I would recommend to first time riders!
