Good Points

sleek equipment, large LCD screen.


Bad Points

Battery! This camera is a charge guzzler. it just drains the battery.

No sooner you take about a dozen odd snaps, it starts to show the low battery warning.

This really psyches you. this is the greatest minus point of this camera.

Also the absence of optical view finder. This is another minus point.


General Comments

Regarding the battery life of the camera:

dozen snaps or so away, using the 2500mAH batteries as suggested in the user manual, low battery warning occurs.

In most probability, the LCD is the one that eats up the charge.

Had there been an optical view finder, with means to switch off the LCD, then may be we could have had a larger battery life. It could also depend on the electronics going into the making of the camera, probably they require more charge for operation.

My colleagues who have bought Canon and Nikon brand cameras (which too have LCD display) say they are able to take about 200 snaps (without flash of course) with a 1500 mAH batteries.

I am the first one in our group of friends to buy this product and rule the day I got carried away by the brand name and bought it (though I still have great regards for the brand as I have got other Samsung products at home that are working marvellously).

I would caution any person who wants to buy this camera unless they are willing to go around with a carton supply of batteries.
