Good Points

Looks very good


Bad Points

Reliability is absolutely appalling and service is even worse. Smeg use contractors and the contractor in east Yorkshire is from a company called Huby and they are atrocious. You have to contact Smeg with your problem and then wait for Huby to contact you - it takes 2 days for them to make contact and then a further week for the engineer to arrive and you are not informed whether you are getting an am or pm call until the day of the visit. Invariably they do not carry Smeg parts with them and therefore you have a further delay. Some good when your freezer and fridge is not working - (The fridge feeds off the freezer and therefore if the freezer is down so is the fridge!)


General Comments

Think very carefully before you purchase a Smeg freezer especially in east Yorkshire. See above for my experiences of the Smeg FA550X.
