Good Points

The phone is very sleek and the vibrating alarm works well.


Bad Points

Reception is awful, battery lifetime is terrible and the phone has very few features implemented in it.


General Comments

I went to the United States for a month and decided that I should buy a cell phone since my European Nokia wouldn't work there. I walked into the first cell phone store and got myself an Ericsson LX788. When I first got the phone out of the box, it certainly looked very nice - in some proportions it was smaller than my Nokia 7110.
However, my opinion of the phone went down very quickly after I activated it: there was no coverage at all on the college campus (I was at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA).
The next day I went downtown; the phone worked there very well, I had full digital coverage. I made the phone calls I was supposed to make and returned back to the campus. I actually walked all over the campus but got no coverage at all.
Another point I would like to point out is that I found no way to write text messages with the phone - it was just capable of receiving them. Also the speaker wasn't very good - when there was a lot of background noise it was almost impossible to hear what the person to whom I was talking was saying.
I would say that if you have a chance to choose any other phone, do so. I paid $85 for the phone - $20 would've been a more realistic price.

So, My Bad Luck Takes Me To The Mobile Shop to Purchase A Mobile (Where From I Got ERICSSON-LX788) I Have A Look Over The Mobiles And Thinks This Set Is Excellent For Me Because Its In My Reach, Here I Have To Tell You That I Want To Buy "AIMS-Set", So I Pay For It But When I Got A Chance To Handle It, Thats My Bad Eperience Ever Have. The Qulities This Set Have Is Smaller In Size, Answer Option On Flip, Have A Good Look. Qualities Can Be Counted But Insufficencies Can't Be 1)Flip Is Too Sensitive 2)Low Coverage 3)Having Along Antena 4)No Composer For Melodies 5)Having Same Ring tunes 6)Battery Will Not Allow You Make Call More Than 5 Or May Be 6 Having 4.8 Volts Battery 7)No SMS Composer 8) Too Lazy In Processing . "I Think These Are Sufficent Too Describe It Now It's One Choice Too Buy This Crazy Thing For Use " At End Pray For Me I GetRid Of This Set.
