Good Points

Cheap to run, fuel wise. 5 doors. Easy to park. Power steering. Cheap tax and insurance and a good sound system.

Bad Points

Slow on motorways. Doesn't remind you to turn the lights off which I'm bad at. Slow uphill. Struggles with more then 2 people.

General Comments

I've had this car for 6 months and I have to say it's started first time every morning - I drove to Brighton and back from Canterbury once and after this it developed an over heating problem which resulted in the water pump being replaced and the problem was fixed - this cost about £150. After this a clicking noise developed which resulted in the cv gators and joins being replaced for the mot which it flew through (not literally) - this was all in all a very expensive period for me but I feel that at the moment it's running very well and I believe that the previous owners had next to no problems with it. We paid £1250 for it and I thought for a car of its age its low price that it was very good. It's good fun to drive but can sometimes be easy to loose - i put "go faster" petrol in it sometimes and I think it does make a small difference. I'm only 17 and it's a very good car for me to drive, it gets me around about 20 odd miles a day everyday, it uses no oil and it isn't even very cramped which is surprising for a car of its size, but obviously, you wouldn't want to pack it with 5 people and go to France! The boot is quite small and it doesn't help that I've got a sub in their which takes up half the room. Overall if you want a cheap car, it's quite nippy but the top end is pants - I have taken it to 90mph but that's suicidal - it does a comfy 65-70 which is fine. I recommend it to young drivers and those on a budget!

I've had my Daewoo Matiz 0.8 SE for 7 years now. Never paid for anything else but petrol, MOT and Tax, until last week. I got new tyres and a cv boot; that's all! Small for a big family, and a fold up pushchair will fit in the boot. Fantastic as a second car, for singletons or older people. I have 3 kids, and although the space for back passengers is tight, it's OK for kids. I love my little Matty. I will park anywhere, and where you can't park I will squeeze in. We will keep ours until death us do part!!

I have to say on top of this, its done 2430 miles to the south of France and back on a camping holiday faultlessly. I'm really proud of it!
