Bad Points

When I placed my order, the chair was meant to arrive in 6 weeks. I waited for 5 months in total.


General Comments

I ordered an Eames inspired chair (Walnut wood) from this company. Once I placed the order and paid I was told it would take six weeks to be delivered, but it ended up taking 5 months.

When the chair finally arrived after 3 apparent delivery attempts (having taken off three full days off work to wait for the delivery).
I took the chair out of its packaging and it was not walnut wood. It was a fake effect paint job, painted on the wood to try and look like walnut. Very badly done too. Having waited a long time, I thought I could live with the paint effect.

However, that was not my only disappointment. After owning the chair for 4 months it broke. When it broke, the whole back of the chair fell off. I fell backwards off the chair injuring myself, and as the back fell it smashed my PC's printer. I contacted JMC Furniture explaining what had happened, and after several emails etc., he finally got in touch asking that I send him photos of the chair. So I took photos, sent them and I have been ignored ever since.

The chair cost me over £700, and it was a total waste of time. I have repaired the chair myself, by creating wooden supports, because the original design of the chair was terrible, with badly drilled holes and screws missing. No wonder it collapsed.
