Good Points

Fast, reliable and now becoming a classic.


Bad Points

Rust on the boot under the rear spoiler, lethal if you drive it even moderately fast in the wet. Also needs bigger brakes.


General Comments

I've had my S13 for 4 years - it has 137,000 miles on the clock but I now have a problem with it - it starts 1st time but after it has been driving smoothly for approximately 20 minutes with no loss of power the engine then starts to run lumpy and tickover is lumpy - there is no loss of power, no smoke coming out of the exhaust and I'm not loosing water or burning oil - I've already changed the spark plugs and am going to change fuel filter - can anybody please help diagnose what the problem could be?

    try new coil pack pull of 1 at a time when misfire starts to find out which 1 makes no differance to engine r p m then change that 1 if not that possible sticking hydraulic lifter.
