Good Points

Probably the cheapest good quality driver available anywhere other than from the back of a (non-golf) trolley. I say 'good quality' but in fact it's probably very good overall.

Bad Points

Silly golfing snobs like 'Happy Hacker' probably snigger when they see your clubs - but then again, who cares about the opinions of people who rate according to price rather than performance? They remind me of photographers at most camera clubs who care more about the cost of their camera equipment than they do about the quality of the photographs they actually take and print!

General Comments

Having owned three sets of clubs in my golfing lifetime I thought I would give these £100 Donnays a try. After all, if they were not up to much I could sell them on at half-price and lose out on the equivalent of one round of golf. I tried them and over the first three rounds I shaved 8 strokes off my typical score. Coincidence? Who knows, BUT I now hit my woods 15-20 yds further (and straighter) than before and never before have I placed the ball so regularly on the green from long and medium irons. £100 for the full set? Unbelievable. Yes, there are other clubs that hit slightly longer and some that hit slightly straighter, BUT would you pay an extra £1000 for an extra 10 yds maximum? Or would you be better having some more practice? Hmmm....

I own a donnay £100 set and I am an absolute beginner. It's worth the money for a beginer as you need to learn to hit the ball in the first instance. I'm pround to have a full set and I am more than happy to show them off to someone who has an expensive set. I play for enjoyment of the game, not to show how stupid I am with money.
The clubs have a good sweet spot and when you do hit a blinder, it's worth saying....Thanks Donnay
