Good Points

Generous interest rates on checking.
Relatively easy online bill payment interface.


Bad Points

Like others, I have had several very unpleasant experiences with the telephone customer service representatives. They are very unhelpful, to the point of belligerence if one calls with any sort of difficulty with the bank's service. In addition, the ATM locator is rarely accurate, and a diminishing number of ATM's take deposits for Everbank. This may seem a small thing, but with no 'brick and mortar' facility, one relies entirely on ATM's if one is not eager to send checks via the US mail for deposit. I have also found that their float policies are inconsistent with other banks, and generally take advantage of your money for longer periods of time before it is credited to your account than is fair or expected.


General Comments

Everbank claim a high Kiplinger's rating - it seems to me Kiplinger's should try actually holding an account with them. My experience suggests one would be much better off with a 'brick and mortar' bank that operates online, than this bank, which has been consistently poor in its treatment of this customer.
