Good Points

Yasmine Beach Hotel has an excellent Sea View from the room. Very pleased with the staff, all very friendly and welcoming. For December the weather was excellent! We managed a whole week of sunbathing. The staff are very good and very friendly.


Bad Points

Drink! They have spirits available but these are all locally produced so don't expect decent Vodka. Take your own spirits and travel down the road to the supermarket and get decent Cola! Beer is rubbish. No juice drinks. If you want a better beer/lager, go to Shakespeares though don't expect greatness, it's a bit of a dive. Food was okay, though a little bit deflating after a few days, same food out but I managed to eat everyday. Nothing to do in the evening! While we stayed at the hotel on New Years Eve, a fire alarm went off. We left the room and went to reception. No one else seemed to pay much attention. Bizarre when there was lots and lots of smoke in our corridor! We spoke to someone at Reception and they said no fire, no problem. So we went back to the room. Though still concerned, as there was a lot of smoke. No smoke without fire! We were in the room and we could smell smoke, so went to the corridor and spoke to a member of staff who said there was no problem and it was just someones hairdryer? Why couldn't they knock on doors and tell us that in the first place. Come on, why was someone using a hairdryer at 2am? Bizarre!


General Comments

All in all you cannot fault the place. The resort and the hotel is generally okay. I went on this holiday not expecting a great deal and I was right. I was pleased with the hotel, though I wouldn't recommend Tunisia it's a very poor country and they are very behind. If you are happy to sit by a pool all day and the bar all night, bearing in mind the drinks are not good, then the holiday is for you. If you like to do lots don't bother going. The coach left 45 minutes late to get to the airport which is 1.5 hours from Yasmine Beach. Everyone was panicking! The Quad Bike trip took 4 hours, when it should have been 2 hours, they were poorly organised and transport was poor, scary in fact.
The rooms are okay, not very modern, poor TV. Take your own hairdryer, the hairdryer in our room was rubbish.
