Good Points

Can't think of any.

Bad Points

The card doesn't work in some shops in London; Capital One's server won't respond when the authorisation is attempted.
I want to know about my application for an increased credit limit made in early December. The lack of an answer is because I went over my limit in January (thus involving time travel, presumably). I would dispute that I've gone over my limit by £1.87, but I am not allowed to speak to Customer Relations until I pay by debit card. Having paid, I'm now told to wait 4 working days. I can only talk to collections, and there are no supervisors available, anywhere, ever! They don't have them, and I can't dispute being over my limit, because the information must be right. And anyway, I can't dispute it until I've paid.

General Comments

The credit limit on the Capital One Classic Credit Card seems rather strange. Mine is £200. My other Visa has a limit of £5000 (I lost my wallet, and I can only use the Capital One card, currently). Why so low? And why can't I actually speak to anyone about it?

Honestly, do not bother, all you get is a standard response, "you must wait until you recieve an increase automatically, we review all accounts on a regular basis." I have had mine for 2 years and my limit is still £200. I have given up asking.

Ive had the opposite with my capitalone card. Im a student (working part time with an annual income of approx£5000) and my credit limit sat at £3000! I had 2 other credit cards also.

However, i have found them a bit of a nightmare to deal with. I went into a pizza hut takeaway store a few months ago, popped my pin in and my card declined (which was funny since i had around £1500 left of my credit limit). So i phoned capitalone right away and the guy was useless! Im not sure where their call centre is situated however he hardly spoke a word of English and couldnt understand me. According to them my card had been authorized and charged through pizzahut and it was a problem at their end. After a minor argument with pizzahut i managed to get my pizza and go home. to this day i have not been charged for the pizza!

I wrote to capitalone to complain and never heard anything back from them - the letter was posted as recorded delivery! As far as i am concerned the staff in capitalone couldnt care less about their customers
