Ease of use, twin tuner recording, Find feature in EPG - makes it easy to find the same program each day and quickly mark them all for recording....and also to try and find a repeat of a program you've missed.
Noise - though only noticeable during quiet sections of a program. EPG can take 5 minutes to load up, which is a slight annoyance when you're rushing to go out and you've forgotten to set the PVR.
Reaction's view (7/12/06) contains all the important stuff, I'd just add that following an over the air update sometime in November we're now able to start watching a recorded program before it has finished recording - which is something we couldn't do when we first bought the box....well done Humax for keeping the updates and bugfixes coming.
We suffered a few freezes during the early days, but again, these have disappeared over time (and presumably o-t-a updates).
Pausing a program currently being watched.....the Humax automatically stores the current program until you switch channels (or the buffer fills up - which is about 2 hours), so something you've been watching for a while can be wound back - it would be really nice if you could 'dump' this buffer as a recorded program, but alas that's not available.....yet.
We've been up to about 95% full on the hard drive - following a series of weekends of UKLiving showing back to back Blue Planet/Planet Earth/Life of Mammals all day long, and it's been worth it's wait in gold over Christmas, no more restriction to a 3 hour tape !
