Good Points

Pool area and surrounding gardens are very good.
Plenty of sun loungers.
Superb position and excellent views of the sea or pool in most apartments. Very close to all good amenities and bars as well as the two best beaches just a minutes walk away.
Nice staff that keep the apartments clean.
Nice smoke free entrance area.


Bad Points

Apartments are getting extremely tired and need revamping.
The bed settee for the studio is almost falling apart it's so old (as well as all the other furniture). Studio apartments tend to be hot so the settee under the fan is normally the best option, not in this case though, too uncomfortable.
Desk staff who have always been superb have gone down hill badly. They are slow and not very helpful or interested it seems. You wouldn't believe it if you had been in the last few years, they used to be excellent.


General Comments

I have been going to Tenerife Royal Gardens for the last 14 years or so as I have a one week time share for a studio. I have kept going back as the place was excellent and the position just perfect. In the last 2 or three years the apartments have become very worn and the equipment very tired, they are badly in need of a major revamp which we are told is ongoing. The last apartment we stayed in (not our week so not our own) was second floor in C block and the interior was shabby in the extreme, although the pool area was kept in excellent condition. As someone else has stated you need to avoid the apartments above the bars/restaurants on the side facing the sea (A block) as the effluent smell can be very bad from the sewage building opposite(I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole).
The Guiness bar is poor, don't use it for anything other than a quick drink. The pool bar has gone sadly, I used to like this one.
As long as they revamp the apartments as promised then I will continue to go, I cannot think there are many better placed.
