Good Points

The Sunshine is a family run hotel. We prefer the friendlier atmosphere of this kind of hotel and were not disappointed. The breakfast is typically Greek, roll etc, but for 4 Euro you could get a good English in the hotel. The room we had, on the ground floor was perfectly adequate for a summer holiday. After all you don't go to Rhodes to sit in your hotel room. We went out each morning and when we returned in the late afternoon the room had been cleaned. (even the clothes we left lying around were folded up). The pool area is well served with a bar/cafe and the hotel is about 4 minutes from the beach. I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Bad Points

Not many but areas which may help: If you like a cup of coffe or tea in your room, take a travel kettle. The loo is Greek, so you have to put the paper into a bin, not down the toilet (this is quite common in most hotels on Rhodes) so take a roll of plastic bags with you. And one other thing....if you are given the option, pick a room at the back of the hotel. All the rooms have balconies, but there is no sea view. However the front is on the main road and it is quite noisy. We were at the back and could hear nothing.

General Comments

The local Supermarkets cater for anyhting you've left behind. (try the one just as you come out of the hotel and turn right towards Lardos Village). The taxis are dirt cheap to Lindos and into Lardos village where there are some great restaurants.
If you drive and you want to hire a car. Wait until you get there. Don't hire it in UK. If you do want a car try George Car Hire in Lardos village. We did and got a great deal. You can pay cash or Credit Card. No exhaubitant deposit or anything like that. The local people are very very friendly.
( I see that the site owner here is asking that I confirm the review is based upon my own opinions. It is!)
