General Comments

Overall after doing a bit of research and checking out what other people had to say about this camera, I decided to take the plunge and buy it for myself. I have always been a fan of Samsung cameras although I have had my share of breakdowns ( hence I got extended warranty this time round).
I have been very impressed with the pictures it takes, clear , crisp and I just left everything on Auto mode. Auto mode is fine for 95 percent of pictures you will be taking. I like to do the odd video here and there, video is smooth and audio is loud and clear - only negative I can say is even with a 512mb card the video mode is limited to about 7 minutes at the 640 X 480 resolution as the mode it records in is MJpg not mpeg4. Not a huge problem for me as I only ever do little snippets here and there.
The camera also has lots of nice easy to use features like photo frame background or Black and White or sepia special effects, all these are fun although I personally do all special effects afterwards using third party software.
Close ups and faces are very crisp and clear even when not set at the highest resolution. You can half press shutter to focus image but even when you don't it takes only half a second to focus and is ready to take the next shot within 5 or so seconds.
I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone for family and general happy snaps.
