Good Points

Excellent rooms for the Gambia if you upgrade to the superior rooms that is, great location, nice private beach, good swimming pool, reasonable prices at the hotel, nice well kept gardens.

Bad Points

A block and B block are awful rooms so if you go here just make sure you ask for another block but then again you are going to a 3rd world country and these 2 blocks would be luxury to most Gambians, they even have electricity (lol)

General Comments

I have been to the Gambia now about 7 times and have stayed in this area most of them trips, it is a great place to go for winter sunshine and very cheap if you look around and book on the web £215 each inc all taxes etc for a weeks b and b in December, can't be bad and 90 degrees every day.
But there is one thing that I would advise you all to do, this year on the flight coming back I had my luggage rifeld through and it could only had been at Banjul airport there were 3 watches stolen and my digital camera as well, that was very personal as it was my 50th birthday present from my g/f, I could not find my padlock to lock my suitcase to lock it so would advise you all to get a padlock to lock your case.
This sort of stuff has never happened to me before in the Gambia but it has not turned me of returning but just to be a little more cautious
Going back to the hotel again they do apparently have fairly good rooms from the (cell block h and A and b) but at the price you can get this of the net if you look around it is well worth upgrading to the superior rooms at £14 a night
