Takes excellent macro closeup shots.
Optical Image Stabilizer steadies long range shots, and works very well.
Uses SD cards.
Runs on 2 AA batteries.
2 inch LCD screen.
Can record video clips and is very good at doing this (even video looking out from aeroplane).
Has good features like cropping and resizing, and can take VGA photos for uploading on internet.
6 X Optical zoom, 4 X digital zoom giving total of massive 24 X zoom!
Bad Points
I would only recommend using NiMH rechargeable batteries, as alkalines don't last long.
Getting a bit low spec now - 4 megapixels, and can only take a 1 GB SD card maximum.
General Comments
I recommend this camera to anyone looking at buying one. I have had mine a little over a year now, and I am not planning on replacing it anytime soon as it is so much better than my friend's digital cameras. This camera was quite cheap when it was new, and I got it mainly because I wanted a camera with 6 X Optical zoom as I take many long range shots. I find that the Optical Image Stabilizer works really well and I don't need to use a tripod with this camera. I use NiMH batteries as alkalines get tired quick. I have used my camera extensively and have not had any problems with it. The macro on it is amazing, I take photos of rings from a centimeter and that can be zoomed in to an amazing level of detail on the computer. I find the camera's 2 inch LCD screen to be a good size to review the photos quickly and clearly, and navigation around the camera's menus are excellent. There is nothing about this camera at all I could complain about, and my experience with it has been very pleasing.
