Review of ONeill Psycho 2 (5/3mm)
I've surfed for a couple of seasons in a Psycho 2 Winter Suit in the waters off Ireland & Northern Ireland.
Overall found it to be an excellent wetsuit well worthy of its higher price tag. The best features are:
1. All seams are glued so they stretch much more than stitching. This really compliments the 100% Ultraflex neoprene
2. Chest and Kidney Areas have a Fleece 'Firewall' Lining. This repels water and is noticably warmer.
3. There's a internal flap behing the Back Zip, so any water getting through the zip is channeled down & out through a small exit hole.
I was at first, slightly concerned that the neck line might be a little low and allow water pentration. This wasn't case and wether you have a protruding rash vest or not, there is no cold water flushes!
Only thing that lets it down for me is the lack of different sizes. Not being of athletic proportions, I find the legs are too long and tend to bunch up around my lower shins. This can hold water, weighing down your legs and resulting in a bit of 'sloshing' when you get out.
