Good Points

Nice and easy to use features. The menu is well laid out. Even though the picture resolution is about 1.3mp, it is clearer and better than many newer digital cameras. It is more expensive than a 1CCD camcorder; however, it is more than worth the investment.


Bad Points

I wish that the microphone holder (cac-12) was included. There is no shotgun/ambient microphone selection available. This would allow for better distant shots without surrounding noise (birds, cars, etc...)


General Comments

I've owned and used this Sony DSR-PD100A camcorder for six years. It is consistently performed outstanding. I've filmed everything from family events, dog shows, NASCAR races, to Air shows, and the video was super for all of them.
