Where do I start?! Well the most obvious good point is the 1GB storage space...that is just fantastic. I have 65 songs on mine and there is still 700mb of space left! The next thing is the look. The phone is so sleek and in my opinion is one of (if not the) most stylish phone on the market. The ipod style click wheel is really easy to use and is much quicker for navigating through menus (it also looks fantastic!). Mine is in white and it looks so awesome. The next thing is the music player...extremely easy to use and it looks really good on the screen...better than most stand alone mp3 players. The sound quality is superb (especially with the 3D sound function) and the earphones supplied are excellent. Also, the software that was supplied with my x830 (Samsung PC Studio 3) is brilliant. It is so easy to transfer files between the PC and the phone....the software lets you convert video files so they are viewable on the phone, create videos, edit pictures, upload music files, manage contacts, messages and appointments - the possibilities are really endless!! When I first saw the phone I thought that because the screen was so small it wouldn't be very good for viewing pictures etc. This is not the case. The resolution is amazing and pictures look just as good as they would on any other phone (better than some!) so dont let the screen size put you off.
Bad Points
All in all this phone doesnt really have many bad points - any it does have are very minor.
The way the keypad is layed out is quite hard to get used to (especially with texting) but after a while it becomes almost second nature! The camera quality is not that great (only 1.3 megapixels...most phones are 2 megapixels - this means a higher quality picture) and it doesnt have a flash. I also find that because the camera is situated quite low down on the phone my finger sometimes gets in the way of the picture - but again it just takes a bit of getting used to. The menus were quite hard to navigate at first - they are quite confusing sometimes but it comes in time ;-)
General Comments
This phone is really excellent. Samsung have done a really good job with this one. I would reccomend the x830 for those who want a decent music phone and dont really rely on mobile cameras all that much. It is designed as a music phone and thats what it does best. Mobile photographers on the other hand...don't buy it. The camera isn't as good as some of the other phones on the market which can be bought for the same price. The x830 is the best phone I have ever owned - its small, stylish and has all the features I need in a mobile - especially the music.

The payback for this inconvenience, though, is that the Samsung X830 is very small. It?s not flat, like the Motorola RAZR , say, but it disappears into a pocket just as easily.
