I can get my money back, since I paid with credit card.
Keep away from these people. Wasted time, no satisfactory communication.
I bought Yoursoft's YourAff software, an affiliate script package earlier this month. Included in the package was a free installation, wherein their techs would login to my webserver and install them. I sent them $99 via Paypal (credit card payment, thank God) )for these scripts and this service.
It turns out I spent $99 in order to have my time wasted, and nothing more. Yoursoft never implemented the scripts on my server, nor responded adequately to the emails I sent them (repeated emails, 6-7) asking them to please do it soon. I had to escalate the issue within Paypal's dispute webpage. It was only there that I got a response, them asking for my login information so they could install the scripts.
Guess what? 4 days later, nothing happened - the scripts still weren't installed. And this was after I had emailed them twice through the Paypal dispute panel and once with traditional email.
It then became obvious to me that I was wasting my time with them. I was receiving no response, no indication that they had worked on the installation, and it was now nearly 3 weeks after I had initially bought it
I believe in giving everyone a fair chance. This even includes companies that do not respond to their emails or deliver on what they have promised in their sales literature. But waiting 3 weeks for a company that ignores requests for what they were supposed to be doing anyway is unacceptable. I highly recommend you keep away from Yoursoft-tm.com or buying their scripts. They either do not care for their customers, ignore them, or are a very sophisticated scam (their webpage looks entirely legit).
Fortunately, since I paid with credit card via Paypal, I can just reverse the charges on my card, since their service wasn't as described.
By the way, this is an important side note: Never buy any intangible items (and I'd say any items) through Paypal using the debit account feature (the "Send Money" function) - use your credit card. I learned that Paypal will only issue refunds to people who have purchased a physical good, not software or any other intangibles, like scripts downloaded off the web (such as in my case). In other words, if I had sent money to Yoursoft-tm.com via the Paypal "Send Money" feature, I would be $99 in the hole right now because they debit it directly from your bank account, and there's no recourse for it. Credit is different - you can just call the company and tell them your issue and they will usually comply with you.
Remember to use your credit card, not their "send money" feature - especially if you are buying an intangible item
It's really too bad that Yoursoft didn't reply to the plethora of emails I sent them. I really don't know what they hoped to gain from ignoring a customer. Now they have lost $99 and probably some reputation with this posting.
I'm sorry to see it happen this way!
