Good Points

Pretty accurate.
Economical on CO2.Have seen 70 to 90 shots per 12 gram cartridge before losing power.
Ten shots per clip.

Bad Points

Not as powerful as advertised.
Poor design of airtight mating between barrel and revolving cylinder.

General Comments

The Crosman 357 6" is for the most part a well designed pistol, but the loose tolerances or some inherent design flaw decreases the potential power. The barrel slides about 1/8" backward and forward in its housing, and the barrel end which mates with the pellet revolver is slightly angled and jagged, allowing some CO2 gas to escape that would otherwise add to the propellent force to the pellet. I can actually feel a puff of air from the side of the revolving unit when it is fired. That's wasted CO2 and wasted power. I suppose I could spend some time finishing the barrel mating to a smooth sheen but I don't want to cause damage worse than its current condition.
A second quarrel I have is that both sides of the handle must be removed in order to turn the screw handle to remove and insert a new CO2 cartirdge. In comparison, my Gamo PT-90 requires removal of one grip cover to replace a CO2 cylinder, making changeout easier and faster.
Despite these faults, the Crosman 357 pistol is an economical model to purchase and shoot.
If, however, you are looking for a better repeating pistol and willing to pay more for it, keep shopping around.

The problems that you described sounds like it is defective, because all of the bad things that you mentioned aren't on my Crosman 357-6. You can send it back to Crosman if it's within the warranty.

After a bit of tuning to my Crosman 357 the barrel now mates closely to the pellet clip. Testing the 357 with the 6" barrel shows that compared to all the other CO2 pistols I have shot, this pistol has the most power by far. I would definitely recommend this pistol if you want enough power to take out small rodents at close range - I recommend using Crosman Pointed Hunting pellets, as these pellets seem to be the deepest penetrating when used in CO2 pistols.
