Good looking, dictating machine, not to big and not to small. it has an extremely large amount of memory for it's class, it can save up to 250 160-letter messages. You can correct the software by taking out the sim card and type *#337* when the mobile asks "Please insert SIM Card" that way the software will be "re installed"

Full of irrotating software errors, no color display
General Comments
Well i bought my s40 a year ago and i expected a great phone. But after one month of use it began to freeze. the internal clock stopped and when i turned it off and on again the battery was suddenly empty like its been highly stressed by the phone. but there are a few things that despite all the errors makes the phone pretty practical, for example the dictating machine and the 3 color display. (Black, weak green and weak blue)
I think the phone doe's it's job when it's working. and thats the important thing. It's better than nothing

Well, S40 definatlly a good phone exact that some firmware problme in older model. Go to Siemens service centre to upgrade it and some errors can be corrected.
