Cineworld Review

It isn't very often I visit the cinema complex at Ashton Moss, but on this particular occasion, myself and my friend had planned to go and watch a film here.

We paid for our tickets no problem, and we didn't have to queue, and we went through to our screen no problem. However, numerous groups of people persisted to talk throughout the entire film!

I can withstand a little whispering, but 3 groups of youngsters seated at various places around the cinema talking loudly deliberately, I cannot tolerate. After asking politely, numerous times for them to be quiet, much to my annoyance, I had to leave the screen to go and complain. I spoke to a women who was collecting tickets when people came in, as this was the first person I came across. I explained that I was in screen 9 and people were talking around me. She said that someone else from my screen had also been to complain too, so she asked one of her colleagues to come into the screen with me and for me to point out who was making noise. I did so, and for about 10 minutes after the member of staff leaving, we were able to watch the film in peace, and then people starting talking again. It took me to complain a second time for these people to be removed from the cinema.

I accept that this isn't Cineworld's fault. However, it is their responsibility to ensure that people enjoy their visit, and I found it extremely irritating that after half of a film and 2 people complaining, they still didn't do anything!

What set out to be cinema trip ended in an enjoyable film (what I was able to see of it!) and me wanting to leave the cinema as soon as possible. There wasn't even any compensation offered, and I feel that this IS their responsibility. I will probably visit Cineworld again. However, if any body does go to this cinema please have the courtesy not to talk throughout, and respect other cinema users!
