General Comments

I've had my SR125 for just coming up to 4 yrs, bought it to learn on as i'd done my CBT on a SR125 too. Wasn't sure if i'd keep it for long, but here I am 4 yrs later still going. Corrosion could be an ongoing problem as it's kept outside all the time. Performance is ok around town, but as soon as i'm on a dual carriage way it's obvious it's underpowered, but hey it's a learner after all. I use it for commuting nearly every day, and it's very economical. 200 miles will cost me about 6 pounds! The brakes are prone to seizing and need fairly regular overhaul. The engine itself seems fairly bullet proof, i change the oil every 6 months. It's an import model with kilometers, i've done 11000 km in the 4yrs. The upright riding position is comfortable, but at slow speeds the high centre of gravity can cause a balance problem. Gear shift is easy though, however riding at night is tricky as the headlight is poor. Overall I'm glad i chose it to learn on, but maybe i've kept it a bit too long.
