GRAND THEFT AUTO:

VICE CITY...


Now I find this a good game to review, Vice City, the most recent Grand Theft Auto game of the series, made by Rockstar north.

INTRODUCTION- For many years now, about seven,Rockstar have been making many games, many fun, exiting, and violent ones, and I think the GTA series, has been there most succesful games. Vice City, the sunny, rich, and glamourous place, set in the 80's. In this game, you play as a man called Tommy Vercetti (full story about the game in the GTA:VC section of the site), just been let out of jail, and is sent to the city to make a deal. All does not go well, and Tommy finds himself with no money, or anyone he can really trust, his only way to get back is to take over the city.

GAMEPLAY- One of the most important features in a game, if not the most, GTA:Vice City has got very good gameplay, but could obviously be better. The gameplay is almost exactly the same as GTA3, just with a few tweaked up features, upgrades. On foot, don't get me wrong, the control is good, but could be better, for example, you could be running, you could lift all your fingeres off the controller, and your player might just run a little bit more then stop, which at some times, could be a bad thing, but, when you are holding heavier weaponds, he does run differently to show it. By car or vehicle, I think this control is a bit better than the on foot controls, most cars have got very good contol, but for those that don't, its not the games fault, its the way they were designed.There are not just cars in the game, there are also boats and which GTA3 did not have, helicopters and motorbikes.

GRAPHICS- This is an other very good feature of the game, the graphics in Vice are very good, clear, at some times even photo realistic. The city is Vice City (miami), so,there is obviously a lot of water, rivers, seas, and bridges, so, on this point, Rockstar did a good job to make the game look clean, and fresh, and also might have used the pictures to advertise,so people could say, "wow, nice graphics". But the water is not the only section that has amazing graphics, the buildings, vehicles, Everything has got good graphics, look realistic, so that nothing will looks fake, even the people in the game, pedestrians look good, but the faces of the characters are a bit blured up, but, Rockstar could have made the whole game photo realistic, but the city would be a lot smaller, so you have to think about that. All the vehicles in the game are not fake at all, look so real, its amazing!

SOUND-Very good, very enhanced, no one can say the sound is bad, everything sounds good, gun shots, cars, heli's, boats on the water, people talking, you crashing your car into the wall, 9 HOURS OF RADIO, on 9 different radio stations. All from rap, to pop, to rock, to chat, to just plain hilarious radio for you to listen to while you are cruising the city in your car, motorbike, or flying, or driving boats on water. A 10 for this feature.

Buy or rent? Definetly a buy, this game will take weeks out of your life, but if you still are not sure, rent first.
