Good Points

The Walkman has a great sound quality. Packed with a Texas Instruments amplifier chip that sets it apart from the competition, it offers a very clean and pure sound that is uncharacteristic of Walkman's. Nice deep bass, an alright mid-range and nice treble, and everything is in balance. Good dynamics and acoustics to the sound. Great timing, that is good for rhythmic music (reggae and hip-hop etc.), but a good versatility for all music.

Bad Points

Battery life could be better, but perhaps mine doesn't meet factory spec because of my using the heavy-drain Philips HP890 headphones with a big impedance. Size is another factor, meaning I don't take it out as often as I should, but perhaps that could be because of component setup.

General Comments

Overall a bargain. For the money you pay, you get a "hi-resolution" hi-fi sound from a tinny fella. And it's more than half less the price of silly MP3 players like iPod's, which have poor sound quality. The Panasonic SL-CT710 is the best portable music player you could get. Sure, Walkman's may not have the cool factor of MP3 players, but it sure holds the obvious advantage of sound quality. Plus, I like the spaceship design. lol! :)
