Good Points

Our first impression of this hotel was at our check-in, this was handled very quickly and efficiently and we found the reception staff to be very friendly and helpful.

The room allocated to us was facing the front of the hotel but at no time did we find it noisy. The rooms are a good size and the d cor is of a high standard, they are very clean and well maintained. The one small maintenance problem we had was rectified within the hour and extra pillows were delivered almost immediately. The air conditioning in our room was very efficient and anytime we switched it on it ran with little noise. A television was available which had only three English channels BBC World News, CNN News and Eurosport, not a great choice but on par with most other hotels in Spain. There was a video channel in English but for some reason it only showed the same film repeatedly every day of the week we were there.

The main pool was well looked after and sun beds were always available, there appeared to be an abundance of hotel entertainment reps, we counted at least eight. Although they were all very friendly, we were at a loss as to what they all did, as very little was provided in the way of guest entertainment. A roof terrace was available, with two small pools and a limited number of sun beds.

The bar prices were reasonable and although the waiters always approached us very quickly to ask if you required a drink, they were very pleasant and not in the least obtrusive. Entertainment was generally of the typical Spanish hotel standard, OK as a background but not as the focus of an evening out. Again, like the rest of the hotel staff, the entertainers were very friendly.

The dining room was pleasant with all the staff friendly and helpful.

Bad Points

Sun bed cushions were available to hire at a cost of 1.20 Euros a day, strange that a hotel with 4 stars should make this charge for what must be considered standard poolside equipment.

The food available was possibly the worst I have had in any hotel in any of the Spanish Islands or on the Spanish mainland for that matter.

General Comments

I am always very careful not to criticise food in a hotel unjustly as sometimes hotel food is not really suitable for British tastes. However, it really was so bad that after two days we, like many hotel guests, just ate out for the remainder of our holiday. Standards of food preparation were so poor, in that the food was usually cold; there was a microwave available to re-heat your meal, hardly what you expect of 4 star hotel dinning room.

It is a real pity about the dismal standards of food, in what is otherwise a very good hotel, as this will prevent us from ever using this hotel again.
