The price reflects the service if you do have an accident (especially if it's not your fault)
Lack of customer relations
Phone line I needed to speak to someone on (Disputes Team) is only open 9 - 5 Mon - Fri (I work for a company which has a 'no personal calls at work' policy, and those times do not help me contact them.
When you get through they 'seem' to cut you off.
I Phoned one Friday to get a 'manager/supervisor' to call me. I followed the call up the following Monday, Tuesday then Friday ... I finally got a call the following Friday, so expect to wait 2 weeks for a call back!!!


General Comments

In an accident I was involved in, I was the driver NOT at fault. I had a witness, and yet they decided to award 50/50 liability in my case (I am currently fighting to be awarded what I am entitled to) . My repairs total £490, my excess is £400 and Asda car insurance cannot be bothered to recoup the £90, as it would 'be too expensive'. This is not 'looking after customers' best interests!!

It's a good thing for the insurance industry, as both parties lose 2 years NCD, so they win in the long run.

The bad thing ... I will not be going back for seconds.

The cheaper premium just isn't worth the lack of help when it comes to a claim.

My claim is now in the hands of someone who is the NUGI Complaints Troubleshooter Recoveries/Disputes. I received an email from her on the 8th December 2006 and it says she will be in touch with me within the next 10 working days, so if I haven't heard by the 22nd December 2006, I will be making a follow up to this.
