Good Points

The unit is very good-looking and compact (comparing with my previous Archos recorder 10) and the large screen is very easy to read. I think it would be adequate if you only listened to music.
Sound would probably be good with a decent set of earphones.

Bad Points

Where to start.
My biggest problem is that there is no folder view. You have a set number of ways to browse your music. The player is supposed to remember where you finished in a track which it does until you put it on charge then it just returns to the beginning of the file. OK, no biggy if you're just listening to music, but if you listen to 10+ hour audiobooks, as I do, then forget it.
This brings me to the next point: the fast forward is all one very slow speed, something like 1 minute in 4-5 seconds so once you have charged your player in the middle of your 10 hour audiobook, you're going to have your finger press on the FF button for a long time to get back to your place. The volume is not too good on the original earphones, but being as I work in an environment that kills them pretty quick I am forced to buy cheap ones which makes the sound worse. I used to be able to have my Archos at 3/4 volume but the Samsung needs to be full all the time and even then it's hard to hear when I am doing something.
No bookmark facility.
Equaliser does not seem to make too much difference.
Radio feature is about as good as one of the recievers you get from poundland.

General Comments

I plan to be rid of this player as soon as possible, I brought it to replace an Archos Jukebox recorder 10 which even though it was bigger was far superior as standard but with the Rockbox operating system was even better. The only thing I can see making this device better is if Rockbox manage to port their OS to it or Samsung decide to write some firmware to improve the useability.
All in all I consider this purchase a waste of money.
