The bios update software is the best I have used. The configuration is fool proof.
Bad Points
You can't change the CPU clock speed, the ASUS AI software does not even recognise this motherboard as one of their own. The memory slots are super fussy, I spent half an hour in a PC supply shop testing different memory, and could not find one that would work in the slot, so I have had to stick with just 256Mb.
General Comments
The Asus A7V8X-MX was cheap, and seems quite reliable but see above for bad points.
