General Comments

Departments don't 'speak to each other at St Helens Glass, and there is lack of cooperation. We were told we had to take a loan out with GE money to obtain the 'discounts' they were offering. It was explained that in doing this, St Helens Glass would then pay the first 5 payments. We were issued with 5 vouchers, which we then have to return to them each time a payment is made by us, but it is proving very difficult to get them to honour the vouchers. We have had double glazing and a conservatory with them - the finishing leaves a lot to be desired, and we are left with a lot of tidying up to do.

We had the same issue regarding a 10% "cashback" if we took out a finance agreement with GE Money. The salesman told us that we could then pay the balance in full after 6 payments at 0% interest with no penalty, then we would receive our 10%. Unfortunately, when I enquired after 5 months about paying off the balance, I found out that we had been paying interest at 15.6% and had not paid anything off the balance! There is also a 2 month interest penalty for paying the loan early; although, apparently you can get around this by leaving something owing.

My last 4 emails have all been ignored by St Helens Glass by the way.
