Image quality is acceptable, but there is a LOT of room for improvement.
Frequently jams, doesn't cancel properly - wasting ink, paper and time, have to babysit it when printing envelopes, cannot send large print jobs as it will inevitably jam or misload the paper and mess up the entire print job. Smudges from the rollers, poor roller feed.
I have worked with HP printers frequently at different job locations. I have not seen one that I have liked yet. There are always problems with jamming, serious cancel print issues, driver conflict issues (usually with other HP products).
Besides that, the ink is expensive. Color inks doesn't have separate cartridges, so you waste up to 2/3rds of the ink you purchased if you run out of one color.
I recommend avoiding HP printers completely. Go with a Canon Photo printer.
