Good Points

Has huge potential for anyone who can be bothered.
Good quality camera, but so slow!

Bad Points

You cannot record your own voice tags, the voice training does not work, making voice dialling and therefore bluetooth hands free dialling impossibly unreliable!!!! Take note!
Also, terribly slow to do anything. approx 13 seconds to start the camera, respond to the button, save the picture and be ready to go again.
It requires masses of key strokes to get anywhere. Ie. a minimum of 7 to get a text message going. 2 to send it.

General Comments

I was delighted to get this N70 and see the back of my rather quirky Nokia 7600. I suffered a head injury which caused a memory deficit, and I never could get to grips with the 7600's keypad layout, and neither could my tekkie kids. However, I've had to go back to it and ditch the N70 because of it's inability to recognise voice dialling. I spoke to Nokia support. The guy I spoke to acknowledged the problem. He told me that it was an accidental omission that voice tags could not be created. I asked if there was a chance that they would issue a firmware upgrade to correct this, and he said no. I have looked from time to time in hope, but none has been forthcoming.
I cannot believe that Nokia have 'got away' with such a fundamental flaw. I think it's because the phone appeals primarily to youngsters on the capability of its multimedia strengths that it continues to sell. I read a review from a business man who had bought 50 and said they were useless to him as his workforce could not use them on the move. Another I read said: 'The voice dial won't work, but I don't need it anyway'.
If you are not old enough to drive, you won't.
City analysts speculate that for the first time this year, Nokia sales will be knocked from the top spot by Motorola.
I've had many Nokia phones, but the last two have been 'duffers', and my next upgrade will be a Motorola.
