Good Points

110 mph on a flat road.
0-60 time down to 12s at 110,000 miles.
Will beat a lot of modern cars up to 1.4 litre engine at 0-60 and top end-We know!


Bad Points

Suspension roll in cornering is massive.
Made of soft metal that dents if you blow on it.
Too much power for the size of the tyres.


General Comments

We have a 1 litre LS and this car is rapid. Done nothing to the engine and can blow away 1.3 SR Nova's with ease. Performance dies once you hit 95 but will keep going way past a ton. These cars are lightweight and will give hours of enjoyment as they are a dream to drive. They also have a large amount of room for expansion in the engine bay and as for wheels we dropped a set of 215/40/R15s on and there was no scuff anywhere. Put those on a Nova and you need to do some large arch beating to stop the scuff on the inside. I love my micra.

    mate as if your 1l micra can do 0-60 in 12secs and a top speed of over 100. i dont think u people know how fast u go in your little sheds!

    I know what you mean mate. My 1l Micra can just beat my bro's 1.4l Rover 400. I have races with many people and beat them, including 1.2 corsas and 1.3 escorts. U dont know how fast they are until you sit behind the wheel an fly. Its a perfect car.

    SERIOUSLY THEYRE GREAT LITTLE CARS MY 1.3 CAN DO 0-60 IN JUST UNDER 10 SECONDS SO I WOULDNT BE SURPRISED IF THE 1L CAN DO IT IN 12, AFTERALL THEY ARE 16V AND INJECTION WITH DOHC, PLUS THEY WEIGH NOTHING!THEY MAY LOOK GAY BUT APART FROM THE MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF BODY ROLL THEYRE REALLY FUN 2 DRIVE AND REALLY RELIABLE 2!

    mate on my 1L 16v micra is very rapid, coz ma top speed so far 109 mph 0-60 13.5 (wet) n recently smoked a 1.6 escort van.

    i dont know if where talking about the same car but my friend has a micra 1.0l and it struggles to do more than 60 on the motorway... are we talking about a micra 1.0l old style boxy shape one???

    Agree with all the positive comments about the 1991 Micra LS. I have had mine for almost 6 years and, apart from the inevitable age-related wearing out of parts, it has never let me down (touch wood). I've just had the clutch replaced at 84,000 miles and it feels like a whole new car. The only problem with mine is that it seems to need welding every year for the MOT.
    I also love my Micra!!

    to the person saying it canny do 0-60 in that time, i managed to get mine to do it in 12 seconds! its not impossible!, but will depend on what weight is inside the car at the time.
