Bad Points

None really so far detected after weeks of use. One minor observation or niggle for me was difficulty in seeing the Rear LCD monitor in bright light with my poor eyesight. However not having experienced viewing other digital camera LCD screens, I presume they may all be affected in this way to the same degree.


General Comments

Superb pic quality and ease of handling make this the 'David against Golaith' Prosumer Camera 'To Have' without doubt for me. I recently shot news pics of a full blown air sea rescue on sea cliffs in a howling storm, despite poor light, steady rain, lashing sea spray, high wind, and dust & sand blasted air from shooting under 10 tons of RAF Sea King Rescue helicopter down draught, the G3 performed magnificently & delivered superb images given the appalling conditions. At no time did I try to protect it from the elements, but it kept on working faithfully despite a full hour & a half's exposure to this sodden and unforgiving environment for a digital. I was going to buy the Nikon DIX for shooting news pics, but in buying this baby I've saved myself googlebucks and get just the most amazing pics. A first class object of desire. Buy it I say ...you won't be disappointed.
