General Comments

I've had this pistol now for 2 weeks having owned a number of air rifles, I decided to dip into pistol shooting. My primary purpose was to use the pistol for target work but also do dispatch any rabbits quickly when out hunting if my shot with the rifle had not killed them outright. The pistol is rated at 410 fps so I assumed this would be powerful enough for the job.
As a target pistol, it is excellent. The comments made elsewhere about it's trigger are absolutely correct. The newest version of the pistol, which I got, has tru-glow sights. These make for an excellent sight picture and the lack of recoil makes shooting easier. That said, I'm struggling to shoot really tight groups with it. I'm experimenting with different pellets. I was recommended "geckos" but these don't seem to work well. Ironically, much cheaper Gamo Match pellets are a lot better for grouping but don't match the tightness you can get with a rifle. Maybe I just need more practice!
As a tool for dispatching rabbits, I can't recommend this pistol, though to be fair, it was never designed for this purpose. The rated power (410fps) is wildly over-rated. I chrono.d the pistol and it only got up to 360 fps. I took it back on this basis and swapped it for another one which did exactly the same in terms of power. At least they are consistently made! Although the gun is light, it feels very strong and I expect it will last a long time. I looked at the beeman equivalent but shyed away from it as it's chinese made and my experience of chinese made guns is that they are built to a price.I would rather pay the extra £15-£20 and get reassuringly good quality.
