Hi everyone. Ive just bought this CD player from Halfords for £59 and for the money, this head unit is fantastic.
Made by the audio specialists pioneer which I'm sure you've all heard of.
It features many things.
You can play CD-R and CD-RW discs, these can hold up to 80 minutes of music, or alternatively, if you have access to Microsoft windows media player, you can store music as WMA files or MP3 files, meaning you can store up to 200 songs dependant on the size and quality which they run at, if you want to get as many songs on a single disc as possible, you should use WMA files, they are smaller than MP3 files and you don't lose out on quality.
Has a good power output of 4x50 watts or 4x17 watts rms
It can handle any speakers ranging from 4-8 ohms impedance.
Has 1 2V pre out meaning you can run an external amplifier for more speakers.
Features RDS radio technology enabling you to listen to radio on a high quality scale.
You can adjust the bass, treble, mid bass.
It also comes with Sound loudness adjustment, or SLA, it's almost like having another amplifier in the head unit to squeeze more extra power out of it.
Or you can alternatively select audio presets, like dance, rock, custom, loud and the list goes on.
Really the only bad thing I can comment on is that the display isn't very bright especially in the dark.
Hope my review was of some use!
Regards
Tom
