General Comments

My husband and I stayed in a beachfront jacuzzi villa for our honeymoon at Angsana and had a really fantastic time. The rooms were spacious and very clean with lovely large outdoor bathrooms including outdoor shower and jacuzzi.
The island is very low key with a lovely sandy floored restaurant and bar. The staff were extremely friendly and very attentive, especially the waiters at the restaurant who were very polite and know you by name on the first day. We loved the coral reef which was really close to the shoreline, which was right outside of your room. So you could easily swim out and see tonnes of fantastic coral and fish, they lend you the snorkeling gear and for me a life jacket, we would spend hours looking at the fish. The spa was excellent, very calm and we had a couples therapy, massages, scrubs, sauna and jacuzzi, which were all fantastic. We stayed at the Banyan Tree which is the sister island next to Angsana for the first week and we would recommend both islands. However, we stayed at the Banyan Tree first, which was slightly more luxurious, so with the benefit of hindsight we would have preferred to stay at Angsana first and Banyan tree second. The only slight negative comment I have to make about Angsana is that our room had a small amount of beach in front of it which was almost fully shaded by trees. I would ask your tour operator about this and make sure they book you a room with plenty of beach and sun!
