It is very simple to use and pretty well gets me to wherever I need to go.
Like all Sat Nav's it thinks it always knows best with regard to route but it is quite happy and quick at re-planning if you change your route.
Points of Interest (POI) can be downloaded from the interweb and it can work very well at warning you of accident hot spots (Wink Wink..!) and other potential hazards.
Although the screen is small it is clear and the voice directions can be adjusted for volume or turned off.
Updates are easy to do once you've downloaded software from the Garmin web site. Mine came with a CD of drivers which once loaded do nothing till you have the relevant software.

Bad Points

I'm not sure there are any bad points apart from it always giving a voice direction just when your listening to something on the radio, but hey, can't have it always.
Clear instructions about updating the unit would be helpful.

General Comments

The Garmin Streetpilot i3 is great value for money and pretty well always gets you where you want to go, no dead ends or wrong ways encountered yet.
