It was everything we expected and more! Went with my boyfriend for 2 weeks and we could have easily stayed another 2.. The staff were very friendly and simply could not do enough for us. The rooms (we stayed in a beach bungalow and would recommend it) were fantastic, with a freshly stocked bar every day. Even though the island was nearing full capacity when we stayed, it didn't seem busy at all, some days we were literally the only people on the beach! Idyllic!! The food, especially in the sea food restaurant was stunning! In fact even though there were many other fantastic restaurants to choose from, we ate at the sea food rest the most. The holiday was so relaxing; however there were lots of water sports and excursions to choose from.
Bad Points
There aren't any!!! just be aware, from the island you can see Male and the airport, however this didn't bother us, in fact we quite liked it as we were able to take the short trip to Male for a morning. Also some of the islands need seaplanes to get to them (sea planes don't fly in the dark) so people with night flights were waiting at the airport hours whereas we left Kurumba at 10.45pm for our flight at 12.30am.
General Comments
The Food isn't cheap but it was amazing and worth every penny!
Watch out for the dolphins, we spent an hour watching them jumping and playing - they were literally yards from the jetty!!
Take some bread rolls from breakfast and feed the fish off the jetty, there were literally hundreds of them in all shapes, sizes and colours...
We're definitely planning on going back!!
