Bad Points

THE WORST SUPPORT AND USELESS SOFTWARE (FOR BACKUPS): I purchased NERO with my Sony Dual Layer backup DVD recorder. I wanted to make backups of my computers for emergency restores.

SLOW BACKUPS: First of all the backup process is VERY slow and took all night.

TECH SUPPORT BEYOND RUDE: When I tried to restore my last version of drive c: NERO was NOT ABLE To update the windows directory .... so my system could not be restored (just software and documents... even though I had made a back up of the Entire Drive (c:). I called "tech support" at $1.29/minute. They were in INDIA! Despite the fee. They barely spoke English and the lady kept telling me that I needed to know about the backup, things that I did not (that's why I called!). BTW, I install networks, write software and I am VERY computer literate. Finally, she put me on HOLD for 5 minutes (At $1.29/min), when she came back she asked the same question I could not help her with before! I now asked if she could give me a supervisor. And if possible NOT put me on hold as she had done. She NOW hung up on me!

INSULT TO INJURY: Now GET THIS... You are charged a basic charge of $70.00 for your call to be corrected at the end to the actual time. I now tried to call back but each time I entered my credit card info to get to the support line, they now claimed that either they could not process my card or the limit was exceeded (over $15,000 currently available). IE: They Blocked my calling back... she was covering herself from a customer complaint! I tried 3 times and I could NOT get through.

IF YOU EVER BUY NERO.... expect this kind of useless and costly tech support and then expect that they will INTENTIONALLY have the power to prevent you from calling back and complaining! This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. I hope you never buy their products! Not to mention that the SONY drive only works with ONE brand of DVD, which they did not admit to when I bought it.
