General Comments

I never ever thought i'd be able to do slim fast because i hated the idea of not having solids. But i got to a point where i couldn't fit into my latest batch of clothes i'd bought with my ever increasing size and thought it was worth a go. I've tried having one low fat sarny for lunch before but i wound up really hungry. I honestly don't get as hungry on slim fast. I think they must just put the right stuff in it. The reason it works for me is because in my office job and being a veggie if I dont remember to bring a packed lunch then i'll go and buy a packet cheese sarny and crisps for lunch. On this diet though what i can have is set in stone. It's already sat by my desk. I dont have to contemplate what's only 300cals etc and then usually mess it up. Psychologically it helps me to know my lunch is sat there waiting for me (i buy enough for the week). Personally i'm addicted to the chocolate milkshakes in cans. I can't make my own up due to where i work but i gather its cheaper if you do. People say the prices are high but compared to buying a normal lunch theyre not! Anyway i love the fact they're healthier in terms of vitamins and minerals than what i used to eat. I admittadly cheat at the weekends and have a healthy cereal for brekky and a sandwich for lunch and some wine! But otherwise i'd probably get bored and fail. I've lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks which doesn't sound drastic but then i'm not a lot overweight so i think its pretty good. I'm gonna get to target weight and then have the shake once a day for lunch and have toast or cereal for brekky. My tip is to not have your evening third snack of 100 cals and save it up for alcohol at the weekend! White wine and vodka with diet drinks being the lowest in cals!
